1/ Do I need hostel card?  

No, we are opened to all travellers.

2/ Curfew or lockout? 

No, why?

3/ Do you provide bedsheets and towels?

Yes and hair drier also.

4/ Any age limit?

No! Our hostel is suitable for all travellers or families!

5/ Are you located in the center of Prague?

Yes, in the historical center!

6/ Do you serve breakfast? 

No, we are sorry at this moment is not possible for us. But you have a fully equipped kitchen for free using. 

7/ Any additonal charges?

Yes, for pubcrawls, city tours and other activities in the town.

8/ How do we get from airport to your hostel?

There are shuttle buses at the airport leaving every half hour to Namesti Republiky which is only 1 min walk from our hostel. Cost 100czk. Shuttles runs from 6am - 9pm.

Where to buy tickets

  • Prague Information Service - Old Town Hall, Staroměstské náměstí 1, Praha 1
  • Ticketmaster - Prague Tourist Center - Rytířská 12, Praha 1, 110 00
  • Open daily 9:00-19:00

Taxi costs

Once you will stay in Old Prague Hostel probabely you will not need any TAXI. 

  • Airport - center... approx 500 Kč
  • Holesovice train station - center... approx 300 Kč
  • Main train station - center... approx 100 - 200 Kč       
  • Prague Old Town Hostel recommend AAA Taxi tel: 14014 but you cas use BOLT or UBER as well. 

Public transportation

  • Stay in Prague Old Town Hostel and you wont need any, no extra money for public transportation, we are located directly in historical center!!!
  • In Prague you can find buses, trams and metro (clean and safe!). Metro has 3 lines...A, B, C.
  • Prague Old Town Hostel is 1 min walk from metro stop Náměstí Republiky, line C. You can get 1 day, 3 day, week and month passes.
  • Or you can just pay 30czk for 30 minutes for any type of Prague public transportation.
  • You need ticket for your backpack/suitcase too!

Airport shuttle bus / CEDAZ   

  • Airport shuttle buses leaves from Prague Airport every half hour directly to the city center, last stop at Náměstí Republiky / 2 minutes walk from Prague Old Town Hostel.
  • First run at 6 a.m. and last at 9 p.m.
  • Same for way back to the airport. From Náměstí Republiky / V celnici st. 5.30 a.m.- 9.30 p.m. Cost 100 Kč/person
  • Train and bus time tables around Czech Republic - IDOS

Bike rentals

We can recommend you two main bike rentals where you can rent a bike or bike and guide and do city tour. Open thur summer season...for more info go to their websites.

Watch!

Money exchange - never change money in the street, you will get fake or different country money with no value! Use banks or exchange offices and ask for final value you get! 

The best EXCHANGE is located in Kaprova street. Whole address is Kaprova 14/13, 110 00 Josefov.

Pickpockets - Just watch your pockets, mainly in crowdy places, trams, metro...do not hang your cameras, jackets over chair in outside restaurants.
 
Otherwise its peaceful and safe city!

Shopping

There are different areas for shopping in Prague.

  • Shopping center PALLADIUM has been open in the barracs from 1780s! Over 200 shops and 30 restaurants + club! So now we are located next to the famous Astronomical Clock from one side and huge shopping mall from the other side.
  • Cheap, normal shops - in the center its mainly
    • Na Příkopě street 
    • and Wencesla Square.

Your find there all kinds of shops, stores, shoping malls. From suvenirs to clothes, shoes, toys ect.
